In 1970, the first year of the Old Schwamb Mill’s life as a living history museum, founding trustee Patricia Fitzmaurice encouraged supporters to become Friends of the Mill.

In addition to mailed updates on happenings at the Old Schwamb Mill, Friends of the Mill receive invitations to special events and exhibit talks and a 10% discount on purchases of a hand-crafted oval frame at the Mill and items in the Museum gift shop.

Donors of $100.00 or more will receive the benefits of the Mill’s membership in NARM – the North American Reciprocal Museum Association. NARM is a network of over 1,400 art museums and galleries, historical museums and societies, botanical gardens, children’s museums, zoos, and more. When people sign up through a participating NARM institution, they can receive reciprocal membership benefits, including free admission, across the United States, Bermuda, Canada, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. That includes 93 museums in Massachusetts alone!
